Biography

In 1881 Henry and Mary's children living with them were Harry 14 and Mary A E 11, both born High Wycombe, and John 7, Sarah 5, Florence 3 and Minnie 1, all born Lambeth, Surrey.

According to Florence Hart, Henry's chairmaking business was sucessfull in her early childhood but later her family was struggling financially and Henry lost his business and went to work for someone else in Dundee. By 1901 They had their own home in Dundee.
