Biography

Benjamin North 1st married Dinah and founded a furniture factory in West Wycombe. He retired to Northampton in 1871. His first son the 2nd Benjamin North would then have become the full owner of the furniture business (ignoring his 2 elder sisters). This may have been due to the shock of his factory burning down in 1870 and having to be rebuilt.
